Walking Paths

There is a long and beautiful history explaining the connection between prayer and walking. Pilgrimages were customary in the Middle Ages for monks, nuns, and common people alike; taking long journeys, often up mountains, walking in silence to connect with one’s inner dialogue, God, and God’s Creation. Walking has been a spiritual practice of monks and nuns since recorded monastic history. Any person can find this spiritual practice meaningful. The Walking Paths wind around a large pond and through 36 acres of flowering ornamental tress and woodland patches. Visitors are encouraged to spend time, walking in the quiet environment, surrounded by natural beauty.
